The Need in Haiti is Still Critical
The need from this catastrophic disaster is so great that relief will be required for a long time to come.
We need your help! $15 will purchase goods for a Family Food Box including rice, beans, cooking oil, flour, canned corn, ramen noodles, etc. Some items are donated; others are purchased in bulk at wholesale prices at significant savings (see below for an expanded list of what your dollars can do). Please make your donation to: Mission Air Service and be sure to designate that it goes to “Haiti Disaster Relief.” Mailing address: 1308 Walbollen Street, Spring Valley, CA 91977.
Who will be receiving these supplies? These commodities will be going to an area 60 miles out of Port-au-Prince. The hub is an established orphanage where the director also coordinates distribution to six different sites in the region. There is always a shortage of food. We are also supplying food to the orphanage.
Survivors are being creative. They use tree branches to create wooden frames upon which they can hang anything they can find to shelter them from wind, rain, and sun. Mission Air Service is providing tarps to help provide this much needed shelter.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions at 619-463-6125. We sincerely ask for your prayers for these suffering people who are in desperate need of support, love, and hope for the future. Mission Air Service is a non-profit, charitable 501 (c) (3) organization.
Time is critical and you can help make a difference today. Please give now. Thank you for your caring and support during this devastating time in Haiti.
When we partner together, miracles happen!
Sincerely,
Aubrey R. Huskey
President

In spite of their hardship, the people of Haiti are not allowing the earthquake to dampen their spirits. They are proving to be very resilient people.
Ways You Can Help in Haiti
$25 will purchase one plastic tarp:
The tarp will be stretched over a wooden frame to provide shelter from wind, rain, and sun. The Haitians are being creative by using tree branches to create a wooden frame from which they hang any material they can find to shield them from the elements.
$15 will purchase food for a family food box:
Some items included in the boxes are donated by corporations; other are purchased in bulk at wholesale prices with significant savings.
$8 will provide a gift bag for a child:
The look of joy on the face of a child receiving a gift bag is a wonder in itself. We have even seen children take the gift bags to bed with them – it is something to call their own.
$2,800 is needed to ship a 40 foot sea container filled with supplies from California to
Haiti. This is just a portion of the total container cost, but the remaining expense will be paid by another sponsor.
Medical supplies needed:
Bandages – all kinds (especially rolled gauze, such as Kerlix)
Bandage scissors
Bandage tape
Cast Cutters
Gloves (small and large, sterile and non-sterile, sizes 7 & 9)
